As you discovered today, the amplitude is given by the absolute value of a. This is in your book on page 289. You're also asked to find the period of the functions. To do so you can find the formula for period in your book on page 290.

For numbers 17-20, you're asked to describe the relationship between the two graphs. You have to write sentences to do this. You wont get credit for the homework if you just find the period and amplitude for the two functions. I'm not expecting essays, just a couple sentences.
