Quiz Monday! And homework!

Be ready Monday....it's unit circle quiz time! Remember, you will be given a blank unit circle and asked to provide the following:

  • Angle measures in radians
  • Angle measures in degrees
  • Coordinates of each point on the unit circle
  • Identify which trigonometric ratios (sine, cosine, tangent, cosecant, secant, cotangenet) are positive or negative in each quadrant
So study! Use your notes, use your unit circles , or use the APEX learning website! (Link is on the right). Remember, you want to know how to find the coordinates using reflections or using special triangles.
(In APEX go to Algebra 2-->NonLinear Functions for some trig, or go to Geometry-->Triangles and Trigonometry).

In addition, you must complete the 9 questions we started in class. These will not be simply counted as homework, but will be collected and graded (as a classwork assignment). Don't forget!

Then, it's back to the trig ratios and unit circle for some more work!

PreCalc!

No homework tonight...but start studying your unit circle! We have a quiz Monday!

It also would be a great idea to take some time to review your notes...we're currently learning the fundamentals to trig; we have to know this stuff inside and out...it's almost like this is the alphabet, and in the next chapters we're going to start learning how to read. Can't read without knowing the alphabet, right?

PreCalc Homework!

After a night off of homework, back to the grind...

Tonight, please complete the following (use your unit circle to help!):
Page 264: 5 - 27 (odd)

Also...

Quiz Monday! You will have to fill out all of the angle measures and coordinates on a blank unit circle! Start studying!

No homework?!

No homework tonight?!

Tomorrow we'll start off class with a stamp and then we'll finish our exploration of the trig ratios in relation to the unit circle (for about 10 minutes). Then, Mr. Cawley will lead us through some notes to summarize all of the things we've been exploring about the trig ratios and the unit circle.

See you there!

Monnnnnday!

This will be our first 5 day week in a really lonnnnnnng time. Hope you're ready for it!

Period A: Tonight, please complete the right triangle trig worksheet--but skip #14!

Period D: Tonight, please finish the classwork we started explaining different ways to convert angle measures. Remember--this is going to be collected and graded, so don't forget!

Weekend HW....

Back to work with the unit circle on Monday. Until then, enjoy your weekend....and....please complete the following...

Period A: Please find the coordinates for quadrant 1 on your unit circle activity. Also, if you didn't already, make sure you finish up last night's homework--page 284 1-5, 7.

Period D: If you didn't already, complete your unit circle--that is, find all of the coordinates for each angle labeled on your unit circle. Also, if you didn't already, make sure you finish up last night's homework--page 284 1-5, 7.

We'll see you Monday!

Tonight's Homework....

Tomorrow it's onto some further exploration of the unit circle! Be ready to learn some stuff!

Tonight, please complete the following...

1.) Finish the reference angle homework (from yesterday) if you didn't already.

2.) Complete page 284: 1-5, and 7

Enjoy! For the textbook problems be sure to draw a triangle (to the x-axis), then use the Pythagorean theorem, then find the 6 trig ratios.
