3 Day Weekend

Yesterday/today in class we did some more final exam review with our stamps, then we learned how to add and subtract matrices and did some classwork!

Weekend homework = start to review for the final! You have four homework assignments left: each night you will be asked to complete different problems in your final review packet.
  • This means if you complete the entire packet this weekend, you'll be done ALL of your homework for the remainder of the school year!
  •  It also means that if you lost your packet you will have 0's on your remaining homework!
  • Oh...and these assignments are all weighted more than the others! So do them!
  • Here are the homework assignments in the final review packet:
    • Weekend HW: #'s 1 - 12
    • Tuesday: 13 - 23
    • Wednesday: 24 - 34
    • Thursday: 35 - 42
Also, you may start to bring in your textbooks tomorrow! Get them in! I will start writing accountabilities next Friday!

And lastly, if you were out Tuesday (when I was out), remember that your 3.1/3.2 mini test is due Tuesday, no exceptions! Use your notes and get an A!

Last PreCalc HW Assignments = Final Review!

If you were out today, we learned how to add and subtract matrices, and multiply matrices by a scalar (constant)! You'll have to get someone's notes and catch up!

Tomorrow we'll do some work with the graphing calculator, and next week we'll continue to learn some new stuff every day!

As for homework, you have four assignments left: each night you will be asked to complete different problems in your final review packet.

    • Thursday (checked Tuesday): #'s 1 - 12
    • Tuesday: 13 - 23
    • Wednesday: 24 - 34
    • Thursday: 35 - 42
Also, you may start to bring in your textbooks tomorrow! Get them in! I will start writing accountabilities next Friday!

And lastly, if you were out Tuesday (when I was out), remember that your 3.1/3.2 mini test is due Tuesday, no exceptions! Use your notes and get an A!

2 HW's Due Thursday...

You have two homework assignments to have done for THURSDAY--on Thursday in class we'll pick back up with matrices!

And remember, I will be out of class tomorrow (Tuesday). Here's the plan for class (test grade!): You will be given an assignment entirely about logarithmic and exponential functions. you may only work with one partner but you may use your notes. This will be collected and graded as a test! If you work with more than one person, I will have the sub (secretly) record your names, and you will lost points on your test grade.
HW #1: Please complete questions 1-5 on the "Multiplying Matrices (by hand)" worksheet provided in class! (This is on the back of the 2 problems we already did in class, or below)!

HW # 2: Please complete the evaluating logs worksheet provided in class. For some of you (who had your hw on Friday), this is an extra credit opportunity. For the rest, this is a required assignment.

Thursday HW! (Yup)

Tonight, please complete the Systems of Equations "Word Problems" worksheet provided in class (or below):

The instructions are marked for each question (in blue/red) on the image below. Check it out!

  •  Write the system and solve for #'s 1 and 3 on the front, 2 and 3 on the back
  • For 4 and 5 on the back, you can just write the system--but you can also solve the systems for some extra credit!
  • Numbers 2 and 1 on the front (Tatyana and Tasty Bakery) require 3 equations--you do not need to do these for homework but...
    • Write the system of (3) equations for some extra credit!
    • If you can solve these, that's extra extra credit! (And will probably require some googling)

Tomorrow we'll start to explore matrices, and begin to learn how we can use matrices to solve systems!

DO YOUR HOMEWORK! If we all do it, no homework this weekend!

Here are the homework questions in case you were out or lost yours:

Wednesday HW!

Tonight, please complete the "Solving Systems of Equations" review worksheet provided in class! Tomorrow we'll finish up our review of systems, and then on Friday we'll get into matrices! See you there!

If you lost your homework sheet or were out, solve these systems on separate paper for credit (these are the hw problems):

Tuesday HW!

Tonight, please complete the "graphing logs" packet that we started in class. Remember, for each graph give a quick sketch showing...

  • The "new location" of the "anchor point" (1,0)--show how this point from the parent function is shifted!
  • Sketch the vertical asymptote
  • Sketch the shape of the function based on any reflections!
Tomorrow in class we'll wrap up with logs and start to get into systems of equations! See you there!

And remember, next Tuesday in class you will work in small groups and use your notes to complete a "mini test" on exponential and logarithmic functions! So keep your notes organized an handy! This will also serve as review for our final exam!

No Homework!

This weekend....enjoy it! Spend some time with friends and/or family, relax, and come back ready to work next week!

Remember, our classwork on Monday will be counted as a test grade! We can use our notes and work together, but come ready to get an A!

Enjoy the weekend off! You earned it!

Take Home Quiz Due Tomorrow!

Tonight, please start your take home quiz--this will be collected and graded TOMORROW! No exceptions!

Complete questions 1-3, 5 and 6 in the packet provided (or the questions are below). You can also complete the second page (questions 7-11) for some extra credit points!

Also, you MUST SHOW WORK--show the formula with the correct values substituted, then you can show your answer, as we discussed in class.

If we all turn in our take home quiz we won't have any weekend homework!

Here are the take home quiz questions in case you lost yours or were out:

Monday HW!

Tonight, please complete the remaining four slides in our notes packet. This homework assignment will be checked tomorrow!

Tomorrow we'll start class with a quick graphing quiz, and then we'll wrap up this section with a tiny bit more practice. Then it's on to logs!

Here are the four homework slides/questions:
