1.) Complete the 12 multiple choice take home quiz (from last Friday)! (look @ Friday's blog post for hints and if you lost yours!)
2.) STUDY!
Here's a breakdown of what's on your test and where to look to study:
- You test starts with 9 multiple choice questions: study the pre-test questions we worked on today in class! (remember, skip #8)
- Then, comes the open ended:
- Find (f+g)(x)
- Find (f-g)(2)
- Find (fg)(4)
- Find (f/g)(x) (For this question you will have to factor a difference of 2 squares and simplify!)
- Find the inverse of a function (with a square root)
- Find the inverse of a function (a fraction)
- Find the inverse of a function (given coordinate pairs)
- Find the inverse of a function (linear equation)
- Find (fog)(x)
- Find (gof)(x)
- Determine if functions are inverses based on the compositions
- Evaluate a composition: (gof)(9)
- Evaulate (PEMDAS) question with -(x^2) vs. (-x)^2
- Given a graph, find the domain and range of the inverse function (remember, the domain of f(x) is the range of the inverse, and the range of f(x) becomes the domain of the inverse)
- Look over your 12 multiple choice question take home quiz! Double check these answers!
- Look at the multiple choice packet from today in class (skip #8)
- Look at all problems from Tuesday's sub work (I gave you an answer key yesterday in class)
- Look at yesterday's notes/slides about inverses!
- Look at the examples in sections 1.5 and 1.6 of your book!
See you all tomorrow!
